Snap Fitness has signed a franchise agreement with entrepreneur Amit Rai to open a new location in the Burnaby, BC area.

“As I searched for opportunities to become a business owner, the Snap Fitness model came to me. Snap Fitness allows me to pursue my passion as a business owner and personal trainer,” says Amit. “My father and I look forward to supporting the Burnaby community.

The father-son team brings a wealth of knowledge and business experience to Snap Fitness. Amit will work as a main operator and his father will help him on the financial side.

“Amit is exactly the right entrepreneur to grow Snap Fitness in Burnaby,” said Andi Ruth-Negrini, Vice President of Franchise Development. “His passion for providing a great member experience through their club is evident and I look forward to seeing how their property will positively impact the local community.”

Snap Fitness continues to grow through strategic multi-unit franchise agreements with operators in select regions of the United States. The brand is focusing on suburban and rural markets, as it introduces its new prototype gym, nearly doubling the size of the original space, for the 6,000-8,000 square foot range.

Globally, the brand is present in more than 20 countries, with more than 640 units in the United States and Canada, 85 units in the United Kingdom and 300 units in Asia-Pacific.

With an established team of Franchise Business Coaches ready to discuss best practices for successfully running a Snap Fitness, the brand offers franchise opportunities for single and multi-unit franchisees.

“Ideal candidates have a proven business background and possess an entrepreneurial spirit, while maintaining established community connections and having a passion for the fitness and wellness industries,” a press release read.
