Authorities in the Volgograd region, as part of the increase in the number of detected cases of a new coronavirus infection, have introduced restrictions on the work of restaurants, cafes, children’s entertainment centers and areas catering. The corresponding decision was taken by the headquarters of the Volgograd region in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the restrictions will come into force on July 12, the press service of the regional administration said on Thursday.

It is specified that cafes, bars, restaurants, canteens, buffets, snack bars and other catering establishments, including summer cafes, are prohibited from receiving guests in the lobby from midnight to 6:00 a.m. The exception is the take-out service. In addition, children’s rooms will be suspended in institutions. Starting July 12, children’s entertainment centers, food courts, children’s playrooms in shopping malls and malls will also be temporarily unavailable to visitors.

All minor residents of Volgograd will only be allowed to be in shopping and entertainment complexes if accompanied by adults.

Employers will be asked to perform lab tests for the coronavirus every 15 days at least 10% of employees, as well as switch to remote work mode for employees who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID- 19.

According to the headquarters decision, after July 12, “COVID-19-free zones” with the option of continuing to work 24 hours a day or without introducing additional restrictions will be establishments where at least 60% of the total number of employees, no more than six months ago, underwent the vaccination procedure or moved COVID-19 with documentary evidence of the presence of antibodies. These are children’s entertainment centers, museums, cinemas and cinemas, cultural and leisure facilities, including theaters, concert organizations, houses of culture, restaurants, cafes, canteens, buffets, bars and snack bars.

“In their turn, visitors to establishments must present an identity document, and the second of their choice: a vaccination certificate with a QR code; a document with a negative PCR analysis or confirming the presence of antibodies; a certificate of a transferred disease. not more than six months ago. Minors in these institutions and institutions can only appear accompanied by adults who have the documents listed, ”added the press service.

About the situation in the region

Restrictive measures continue to operate in the Volgograd region with strict observance of sanitary and epidemiological standards and rules: social distancing, use of personal respiratory protection, disinfection of vehicles and contact surfaces, treatment of hands with antiseptic agents , thermometry. The situation with the spread of COVID-19 in the region remains tense, but stable and under control.

According to the regional operational headquarters, 64,446 cases of infection were recorded in the Volgograd region on Thursday (over 241 people per day). Since the start of the pandemic, 59,811 people have been cured of the coronavirus (more than 101 per day). The region has recorded 1,565 deaths from COVID-19.
