With a fortune of $ 200 billion (around R $ 1.3 trillion), businessman Elon Musk, controller of Tesla, an electric car maker, is already the richest man in the world, surpassing Jeff Bezos, from Amazon.
According to Forbes, he became the world’s first billionaire, not only thanks to Tesla, but mainly his aerospace company, SpaceX.
Elon Musk has a fortune greater than the GDP (Bruno Domestic Product) of several countries. So here we are, imagining Musk’s distant possibility of diversifying his business and devoting some of his time to sports. What could happen?
It would be possible, for example – given your bank account – become the owner of Barcelona and Real Madrid; of the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots from the NFL; the New York Knicks, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA; of the New York Yankees, of the North American Baseball League.
And there would still be some “changes” to buy the 10 most valuable teams in Brazilian football, which, according to recent calculations, total 5.1 billion reais (list below).
But this South African-Canadian-American entrepreneur won’t want to play with it, no.
The most valuable Brazilian teams
- Flamengo: 145 million euros (R $ 924.5 million)
- Palm trees: 140 million euros (R $ 906.5 million)
- Atlético-MG: 87.05 million euros (534 million BRL)
- São Paulo: 81.5 million euros (483 million reais)
- Guild: 76.7 million euros (R $ 487.7 million)
- Corinthians: € 65.9 million (BRL 402 million)
- Fluminense: € 63.8 million (R $ 389 million)
