What the teams say

Canadian number one Félix Auger-Aliassime:

“We all know the tennis schedule is busy and physical, but I’m happy to be here and to have been able to make the trip to be here with my team to have the common objective of going through this one but also to go until the end of the year. It’s a big challenge for me where I’m at in my career to help lead the team to victory, so I accept this challenge and I really like to be in this position.

Korea Republic Captain Park Seung-Kyu

“As the captain of the team and also for each player, it has been a great honor and we really appreciate being able to represent the Korea team. Playing against the best players in the world is going to be a great privilege for each player in our crew.

“We got a lot of support from everyone in Korea, especially these days in Korea, tennis is a very, very popular sport with a lot of young people who want to play, so we have a lot of support from our country.”

Canadian captain Frank Dancevic

“It’s very exciting for me to be back in this position. We have a few team members who have been here for a while, Vasek and Felix, and Gabriel [Diallo] is new to the team and it’s Alexis [Galarneau] second draw so a few new guys on the team and that’s exciting. A beautiful energy is coming this week. The guys are playing well and we are delighted to be part of it.
