Bear probably killed by a goat

by Ainsley Ingram

Canadian authorities believe a grizzly bear was killed by a goat. This after the recent findings of an autopsy, which indicates that the bear was impaled in the armpits and neck, according to The Guardian.

– When grizzly bears attack, they tend to focus their attention on the victim’s head, neck and shoulders. Such an attack usually comes from behind, says Parks Canada ecologist David Laskin.

Found by a hiker

Parks Canada has, among other things, a special responsibility for the protection of natural and cultural monuments for Canadian authorities, as well as for disseminating knowledge about Canadian nature.

– Usually a mountain goat uses its sharp horns for protection.

The remains of the trash were found by a hiker on September 4 and weighed just 70 kilograms. The bear probably didn’t have cubs.

– Bear attacks on mountain goats are relatively common. But this is the first case my colleagues and I have seen, says Laskin.
