Havana, April 20 (RHC) Some 180 activists from 15 countries, belonging to solidarity groups, will travel to Cuba to participate in May Day activities.

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) reported that the visitors are part of the “Primero de Mayo” and “Ernesto Che Guevara” brigades, which will celebrate International Workers’ Day with our people.

Activists will also participate in the International Solidarity Meeting with Cuba, scheduled for April 30-May 2.

ICAP ensures that the number of visitors could increase due to requests for participation.

The “Primero de Mayo” group will have about 140 people from the United States, Brazil, South Africa, Germany, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Vietnam, among other countries.

Meanwhile, the “Ernesto Che Guevara” brigade will bring together 35 Canadians, according to the source.

The program includes visits to the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and scientific institutions, exchanges with the population and representatives of organizations, as well as tributes to Cuban heroes in other provinces of the country.

This year, throughout the national territory, World Proletariat Day will again be celebrated with the traditional parades in Havana and the main Cuban cities, after two years of not taking place due to restrictions imposed by the Covid-19. (Source: PL)
