In Canada, a former nurse celebrated her 101st birthday and revealed the secret of her longevity. About that informed Sudbury.com.

Gertrude Fredette of Sudbury, Ont., Celebrated the milestone date on Tuesday, November 9. A year ago, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a woman had to celebrate her 100th birthday on her own, communicating with her family by video link. In 2021, the long liver was able to meet relatives and celebrate his birthday in a restaurant.

Despite her venerable age, Fredette is in excellent physical shape and in a good mood. She cited abstinence from smoking, a healthy diet, a regular intake of vitamins, and a love of dancing and sports as reasons for her longevity.

The woman has worked as a nurse all her life. In addition, together with her husband, she was engaged in breeding horses on her own farm. Fredette now has 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The retiree remembers her past years with pleasure. “If I was living badly, I wouldn’t be here,” she joked.

Earlier, a former UK school cafeteria worker celebrated her 105th birthday and shared the secret to longevity. She thinks she lived this long because she led a healthy lifestyle and ate healthy foods.
